WE ARE THE TEMPLE... WHEN YOU SEE THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION STANDING WHERE IT OUGHT NOT...
Paul talked about this moment, when the Antichrist would sit in the Temple of God, claiming to be God.
2 Thess 2:3-4... 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
So, there is the moment that Paul mentions... actually prophesies because he saw it 2000 years ago... when the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition, would sit down in the Temple of God, claiming to be God.
Its just that this is not talking about a physical Temple in Jerusalem as most think... WE ARE THE TEMPLE!
How can we know for sure that WE ARE THE TEMPLE?
By multiple confirmations from the Word of God.
JESUS' BODY IS THE THIRD TEMPLE!
First, Jesus refers to the Temple as His Body, and confirms this by saying that the 2nd Temple Building rebuilt after the Babylonian captivity, would be replaced by His Body. Jesus clearly referred to His Body as the Replacement Temple for the 2nd temple that would be destroyed in 70AD!
John 2:19-21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body.
Jesus confirmed this when He said... Matthew 26:61 “I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.”
JESUS' BODY IS THE THIRD TEMPLE! WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST!
If Jesus' body is the 3rd Temple, and we are Jesus' body, THEN WE ARE THE 3RD TEMPLE TOO!
WE ARE JESUS' BODY, AND WE ARE THE 3RD TEMPLE!!!
This thought is repeatedly stressed throughout the New Testament.
1 Corinthians 12:27
Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
Colossians 1:24
I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church.
This verse clearly says... The Church is the Body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
2 Corinthians 6:16 ...for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
NOW, IF JESUS' BODY IS THE THIRD TEMPLE, AND WE ARE HIS BODY...
THEN THE ANTICHRIST SITTING IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST!!!
I have come to realize that this must be the only interpretation for this text. It has already been established that there is absolutely NO THIRD TEMPLE Prophesied in the Bible. Here is a study that proves this...
NOW, THE QUESTION REMAINS... WILL THE MARK OF THE BEAST BEGIN BEFORE RAPTURE?
Let's re-examine our main text from above...
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
1. Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,
2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.
3. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
4. who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
What are the main points mentioned in this text?
From verse 1... THE RAPTURE
The Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together with Him. This is the Rapture. This is NOT the 2nd Coming, because at the 2nd Coming He comes WITH His saints... Rev 19:14. At the Rapture He comes for His Saints, to gather His elect... the Gathering Together. Matt 24:31.
From verse 2... THE DAY OF THE LORD is the day in question. The Day of Christ.
The Day of the Lord is the Rapture and the Wrath, simultaneously. We can know this from the text. Verse 1 is the Rapture, and Verse 2 is the wrath. The Day of the Lord throughout the Bible is a term used to describe the Wrath of God. Joel 2 is one example of this. So when it talks about THIS DAY, it is talking about both Rapture and Wrath happening at once.
From verse 3... THAT DAY WILL NOT COME UNLESS...
Paul makes things very clear for us. The Rapture and the Wrath... THAT DAY... will not come unless.... Now, what has to happen before THIS DAY?
A. The Falling Away
B. Man of Sin, Son of Perdition Revealed
C. The Antichrist (son of perdition) will sit in the Temple of God, claiming to be God (v4)
All three of these things, it would seem, must happen before rapture can take place. The first two already have.
My understanding of the Falling Away was fulfilled on Sept 26, 2012 when the announcement was made of the coming Antichrist at the United Nations General Assembly, and the announcement was received with a standing ovation. SOURCE This is just one confirmation. The falling away from God and all things godly is evident in every society worldwide. God has been kicked out of earth.
The Antichrist was Biblically Revealed upon the fulfillment of the Abomination of Desolation. This was the Biblical unveiling, revealing, and confirmed the Covenant with Many which also was fulfilled by the Antichrist with the nations of the world. THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION FULFILLED
But now we see a third requirement that has not yet been fulfilled... the Antichrist sitting in the Temple of God, claiming to be God. From what we have seen above, this means the Mark of the Beast will begin before Rapture.
Looking carefully at this text, it seems pretty clear that this seems to be the case. The Mark will happen before the Rapture. I am not saying it will for sure. I am saying that it seems to show this from the text. Whether it happens before the Rapture which seems to be the case, or immediately after, we can be sure of this... THE NEW WORLD ORDER IS NOW.
For those who still doubt how close we are to THE MARK OF THE BEAST...

Matthew 24:15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
