DANIEL 9:24-27
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Daniel's 70 weeks. 70 years. 1947 - 2017.
In 2017 the transgression will be finished. All will be cleansed. Everlasting righteousness will be brought in, the vision and prophecy will be sealed, and the Most Holy will be anointed.
The sealed book of Daniel has been unlocked. The calendar has been revealed. The final countdown started with the order to restore Jerusalem on November 29, 1947.
MATTHEW 24:32-34 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Just as Jesus said... when the fig tree Israel puts forth its leaves again, that will be the last generation. 1947 - 2017. 70 years.

Daniel's prophecy is clearly fulfilled two times.
The first 70 weeks, or 70 X 7 years = 490 years,
was fulfilled from approximately 461 BC - 36 AD.
That means the final 7 years were fulfilled in Jesus day from 29 - 36 AD.
According to the text, at the beginning of the week the covenant will be strengthened, and then in the midst of the week the messiah will be cut off.
The beginning of the week was the strengthening of the covenant...
The Baptism of Jesus by John.
The midst of the week, was the Crucifixion.
The Messiah was cut off.
The end of the week was the martyrdom of Stephen and the Dispersion.
The end of the Jewish age and the Beginning of the Gentile age.
How can we know that this prophecy of 70 weeks from Daniel
will be fulfilled again?
Speaking of the end times, the Signs of His Return, and the final Great Tribulation period that will come upon the earth at the end of the age,
Jesus said this...
Matthew 24:15
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
When Jesus mentions the Abomination of Desolation in Matthew 24, that is our key to know that the 70 weeks of Daniel will be fulfilled again. The Abomination of Desolation will be a Sign of his Coming. He is talking about His return, not about His upcoming crucifixion.
Then Jesus goes on in v32-34 to mention the Fig Tree prophecy...
the Rebirth of Israel.
