Edwin is one of our foster kids who has lived with us since he was 10 years old. He is now 20. The Lord has done a great work in Edwin´s life, and he has a very unique walk with the Lord. He has many dreams and visions, and over the last year or two the Lord has raised Edwin up as a preacher. Sometimes he will go with his grandpa, Armin, my father-in-law, to preach in the parks. He also preaches at local churches when he is invited. He is also a musician and plays organ in a Christian worship band. A very unique opportunity and call for a kid his age.
Part of the call and impulse he has to preach are the deep visions he has had. He has seen the coming tribulation many times. He has seen how the fireballs start falling, the flooding through tsunamis that will happen in many places, and he has seen the people running. Because I have a specific dream to share with you right now, I am not going to get into the details about all he has seen over a number of years. But what is important to see is that these dreams and visions are an intricate part of his call and desire to remain obedient and faithful to the Lord. You can see the fruit in his life, which is the only way to authenticate true dreams and visions from the Lord... they change you and draw you to holiness and obedience.
Recently Edwin had the following dream: Edwin dictates...
I was walking to the store when suddenly a big sound in the sky & I got transported & I saw flashes of lightning, the sky had turned to red and everything was burning. I saw two faces in the clouds. People were panic stricken at the voice. We were fighting against the people with the Mark of the Beast, then it went silent as it was the day of judgment.
Then he saw himself in heaven, and he was before the judgment seat of Christ. The multitudes of people were lined up to get judged, one by one, for everything that was done by their hands. I saw many thrown into eternal hellfire.
Edwin was now 2nd in line, and he was close enough where he could hear the man that was in front of him as he plead his case before the Lord about why the Lord should allow him into heaven. "What did you do with the things that I gave you and the opportunities I set before you?" Then the man stated his case.
The man went on and on about all his service. He had known the Lord for many years, and he had done many good works. I served you this way, and that way, and I have given many things for your kingdom. I preached your word, I did good works, and I have spoken about you to many people. For these reasons I should be allowed into heaven.
The Lord brought down the judgment upon this man. "Depart from me, I never knew you." And then the Lord ordered the man to be taken to eternal fire.
Then he called my name, and I went before him on my knees prostrate before him. And he asked me, "What did you do with all that you had in your hands?"
In the meantime, as Edwin was watching, he was sweating profusely and shaking terribly. He was terrified when he heard the judgment upon that man. He had only known the Lord a short time, had never done any of those things that that man had done, and did not do as many works, yet that man was rejected. What would become of Edwin?
Edwin began by saying that he had not done any great deeds. He had tried with all his heart to be obedient, but had fallen short. He has wanted nothing more than to serve the Lord, yet he knew that he did not deserve to get into heaven. You deserved more. Please forgive me Lord, I have done the best I could do.
Then the Lord called his angels over to Edwin, and he was sure he was going to be cast into the fire too. But the Lord allowed him to enter, and He showed him His Beautiful Kingdom. Now I understand that He is calling us and we will all give account to Him on that day. What He has given is not just for us but for the entire world. God revealed this so we would not be condemned but that all could be saved. The difference was in humility and works.
This is the end of what Edwin saw in this dream. To me it seems like the parable of the pharisee and the tax collector. The pharisee felt all proud about his works, while the tax collector beat his chest in repentance. It says that the man who humbled himself was justified, while the proud man was rejected.

Luke 18:9-14The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector
9 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
