"Friends, I saw Christ as King sitting on a throne of Glory - It Holy. You need to see Jesus, to see that your life, without Him - an empty sound!!! "(Nikolai)

Nikolai was born in 1967 in a small village in Russia. He had a great relationship with his parents, but growing up in a communist country, he knew nothing about God.
When Nikolai was about seven years old his father bought a tube radio. "That was my first introduction to radio and to broadcasting in general. My first impressions of the radio were just indescribable. I spent all my free time listening to every station that was available in the Soviet Union, especially music programs.”
In the evening he was able to hear stations which were banned, such as Voice of America, Radio Monte Carlo, and the BBC. “Because I loved to listen to music shows, the first thing I searched for were music radio stations, especially English-speaking.
When Nikolai was older he was called to serve in the Soviet Army as a telephone operator, which enabled him to listen to radio. He discovered a music station broadcasting from Saipan Island.
Later, during the years of perestroika and glasnost, everything changed - the people, newspapers, radio. Nikolai realized, “I was lacking something, but didn’t understand what it was.”
Then one day as he tuned in to the Saipan station, instead of the familiar tunes at the same frequency and time, he heard something new: the unobtrusive voice of someone talking about God, salvation, sin, death and eternal life.
Nikolai remembers thinking, "A Bible, I need a Bible! And I need it fast, before I die.”
He purchased a copy of the four Gospels, but when he read it, he encountered strange words and unfamiliar expressions. “However, one thing I learned for sure: Jesus is exactly who He said He is. A small seed of faith was planted in me.”
Nikolai continued to listen to Christian radio until he was convinced that he needed Jesus as Savior and Lord of his life. “I locked the door, got on my knees and prayed to God.”
Nikolai says that Christian radio played a great role in his life, helping him grow closer to God. "Back to God Ministries Russian broadcast, Vozvraschenie K Bogu (Return to God)was one of my favorites.”
Nikolai can now receive Gospel messages through our kbogu.ru website, where he shared this testimony. But he remains convinced that there is a crucial need for more Christian radio stations. “Right now we have only a few stations in large cities. These stations should broadcast 24 hours a day and be available to all segments of the population, especially the poor. It’s easier for them to buy a radio. FM stations are usually turned on in all vehicles, and in taxis.”
He adds, “The value of Russian Christian radio is underestimated. We need to invest in it.”
What if Nikolai had never heard that first radio broadcast which opened his heart to God? Will you join us in his challenge to bring Christian radio to the people of Russia?
